QUESTIONS: (1) Do you recognize that addictions literally are patterns of activity that may (and usually do) become something you do almost automatically, without thinking, even though (upon analysis) your actions fail to produce good feelings or satisfaction? (2) Do you buy cheap stuff and look for deals in spite of making good money and/or in spite of knowing cheap stuff falls apart quickly? (3) Do you hang on to an aspiration or dream in spite of never gaining any solid evidence that its coming closer to being a real world experience? ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR EXAMPLE: Automatic responses to what you hear and/or see without current moment thought; chain smoking, emotional eating to soothe yourself in times of frustration; traveling the same route everyday; buying the same stuff at the market; choosing the same hairstyle or colors of clothing; focusing on outcomes you desire, imagine or hope for, rather than acknowledging that in reality, you are not one inch closer to manifesting the desired reality you hold so dear? FOR THE NEW YEAR: Lets get crystal clear on what self sabotage (can) look like because emotion based thinking moves you in endless circles and its a new year folks.
