A life-long South Bay resident, Steve also serves as Vice Chair for the Redondo Beach Redevelopment Agency.Aspel was a Rotary Club Past President, former Planning Commissioner and the 2004 Redondo Beach Man of the Year. A respected local business owner, Aspel recently celebrated his 35th year with Farmer's Insurance.A vocal and active member of the community, he was the driving force behind a much needed renovation of the Esplanade, Redondo's signature stretch of Pacific coastline.
